Ouessant Wool:

Wool from Ouessant sheep is highly sought after for its exceptional qualities and unique characteristics.

Fineness and Softness: Despite its robust nature, Ouessant sheep produce wool that is surprisingly fine and soft to the touch. The diameter of the fibers ranges from 25 to 30 microns, making it suitable for a variety of uses, including luxury garments and fine textiles. You will often find a variety of qualities of wool from this small sheep - from a firm, coarser  to shorter, finer fibers.

Natural Color Variations and Highlight Effects: Ouessant wool is available in a charming range of natural colors, ranging from shades of brown, gray, black and white. These colors blend harmoniously, creating beautiful highlight effects in the finished product. Natural shades often eliminate the need for artificial dyes, making Ouessant wool an eco-friendly choice for those looking for sustainable materials.

Durability and flexibility: Ouessant wool is known for its durability and flexibility. The fibers have an innate strength, allowing for the creation of strong textiles and long-lasting products. Whether used in knitting, felting, or further processing, Ouessant wool will last for a long time, making it a valuable investment.

Zwarbles wool

Zwarbles wool is medium fine with rich curls and a fiber length of 10 to 13 cm. The average fineness is around 27 microns, which makes it suitable for spinning and felting. Its unmistakable specificity is its dark chocolate to brown-black natural color, often with lighter ends. It is noticeably elastic and very airy to the touch, which makes it the perfect material for fluffy, "crispy" and durable knitwear. Its quality and properties predetermine it for the production of warm sweaters, scarves or hats with a natural dark shade.

It will be perfect for all those casual, everyday, most worn sweaters that you reach for when you need quick warmth and insulation :-)
